A trend can be seen among media and many other viral content portals, that they are telling Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan that He is a Pakistani and that is sufficient to hate him for every Indian. And many other are telling him that did he really think we only think of him as an artist and not a Pakistani. Thus the media is presenting only the one side of the coin. Well yes, we can’t think of him as an artist only!
Weren’t we the same when we appreciated Fawad for his work in Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons?
It was the same Fawad Khan who was received warmly by the Indian Audience when he was seen in the Pakistani daily soap and also his skills have appreciated and then he succeed to get a role in Bollywood movie “Khoobsurat” opposite Sonam Kapoor and again he was appreciated for his work. Then again his guts were appreciated for “Kapoor & Sons” for portraying the character of a homosexual. People were also excited to see him in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.”
Is is right to discriminate in Terrorist attacks in Pakistan and India ?
But whether it’s India or Pakistan or any other country, a terrorist attack is a terrorist attack. If you can condemn Peshawar attack, Orlando Cub Attack and change you profile pictures into Black to condemn any such act. Then why don’t you do the same when some kind of terrorist attack happens in India even after knowing that you are staying in the same country. Then better if you leave the country and go back to the country for which you have feelings or emotions.

However, this trend in media started when the leaders of a political party (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) gave an ultimatum to Pakistani artists to leave the country and also warned to not letting any upcoming movies released in Maharashtra which includes Pakistani Artists. After such warnings, Pakistani Artists left India and also many of then cancelled their upcoming shows in India (Shafqat Amanat Ali’s concert in Bengaluru and Atif Aslam’s in Gurugram).
Why Pakistani Artists Denied to Condemn Uri Attack ?
Even if some media reports are to be believed, Zee Zindagi Channel which used to telecast some Pakistani Daily soaps in India has also decided to not go with them anymore and will not telecast Pakistani Content in India. According to Subhash Chandra (Chairman of Zee), he asked the Pakistani artists to condemn the recent Uri Attack but they denied. Then why will India bothers to see these artists by paying for them if they don’t see the people of the same country as their own?
Is art above the human values?
Also in response to that, whenever any of the kind of terrorist attack happens in Pakistan or even any other country, Indian Entertainment industry and artists unites and condemn any such kind of attack. For example, any heinous attack whether it’s Peshawar School Attack, then College Attack, Indian artists strongly condemned that. Then why can’t Pakistani artists can do so? Yes, because they are an artist and it is his choice whether he wants to speak on anything or not.
Also, let me mention that Fawad Khan is not the only Pakistani Actor who left the country, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam and many others also have left. Then why not any such letters and articles been written for them either, why media and people are behaving like hypocrites? If you like an artist that doesn’t mean you can write anything that seems biased.
Well, there is also a suggestion for all these Pakistani Artists that if you would have condemned any such attacks in India, respect for you have increased among the people of the both nations. It wouldn’t have lowered down your fan following or you respect among the Pakistanis. They would have loved the fact that their artists have condemned a Terrorist attack. A Terrorist attack is a terrorist attack and you can’t discriminate that. And If they can’t respect the human value, then why discriminate art and humanity? Does art comes first to humanity ?
