In order to curb the depressed people from committing suicide, Facebook is allowing users to report a live broadcast for an escalated response from Facebook.
Facebook will then reach out to emergency workers to help the person in imminent danger.
“Separately, the person filming will also be shown a set of resources pop up on their phone screen, so they can contact a friend or a help line,” the report noted.
It will also be added similar features for other posts as well, under the company’s policy to report posts about suicide or self-injury. People who will feel depression could be contacted crisis workers easily through Messenger.
