The latest iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will launch in India on October 7. For many, this is rather annoying but if you ask me, it is better. Why, you ask? Well, every cloud has a silver lining. The people who were able to buy the new iPhones have started talking about the issues with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. And by the way, when I say issues, I don’t mean the missing audio jack.
Yes, like many other devices, the new iPhones are having some issues. But don’t worry, they are not any major ones. (Yeah, it will not explode just to surprise you)
But be it minor ones, issues are issues anyway. Apple has already started fixing these minor flaws and even giving replacements if needed.
This means that by the time they reach the Indian market, most of the issues with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus would have been dealt with. Thanks to all the people who are purchasing it and reporting the problems that it has right now.
Now, let us have a look at all the teeny-tiny issues with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that the users are experiencing right now.
- The Hissgate
This seems to be the most serious problem that the Apple users are experiencing right now. The phones are making a weird hissing sound whenever there is a load on the phone.
The extent of how serious this is evident due to the fact that the people have already named this issue as the Hissgate. It is probably because of the coil that is being used. Though, the sound due to the coil is not a phenomenon unheard of in electronic devices. Apple is still giving replacements to the people who are approaching with the complaints.
It is also possible that this might be a manufacturing flaw. Nothing that Apple cannot deal with.
- The glove repellence
What most people don’t know about the new iPhones is that Apple has done away with the old-school home button and replaced it with a touch button. Now that doesn’t really sound like much of an issue but it becomes one when that touch button does not work with touch-screen gloves on. In India, nobody would even notice but in colder areas where people wear gloves most of the time, it is definitely a big problem.
- Jet Black? Handle with extra care
When Apple sold the Jet Black colour variant, they warned the people that this colour needs extra care. After purchasing, many people are realising now that their gorgeous jet black iPhones are just too prone to scratches and it obviously does not look pretty.
- Airplane Mode loves the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
Another problem that people have reported is that when they turn on the airplane mode and later turn it off, the phone still doesn’t get any signal. The airplane mode can be toggled on/off but the effect stays for quite some time. Not all the 7 and 7 Plus users are experiencing this problem but some are.
- With a tinge of yellow, please!
Some users have complained that their screen has a tinge of yellow. Right now, this issue seems to be quite a trivial one. It is probably due to the fact that Apple might have moved the white bar to the warmer side in the new iPhones. They are still used to the cooler colours of the old iPhones. That might be what is causing the distress.
- Dual Camera
The dual-camera is a pretty good upgrade to the already great camera of the iPhone 6S. Dual camera is, in fact, a great addition to any premium phone as it clicks very crisp pictures. However, in the case of iPhone 7 Plus it is present but just not working yet. Yes, you read that right. The dual camera is not working. It will start working after an update. Right now, the update is in beta and could take a while to reach the 7 Plus.
- Apple AirPods
Apple gave up the 3.5mm audio jack. Now, you find Apple EarPods in the box which connect to the iPhone 7 via Lighting connector. This means that you cannot charge and listen to music at the same time. To curb this menace, Apple rolled out the Apple Airpods (wireless earphones) which look like miniature hair dryers. Oh, and they are going to set you back a whopping Rs.15,000. They are tiny and very prone to being lost so be careful.
