Nawaz Sharif tells army to act against terror: The PM of Pakistan has ordered the Pakistani army not to shield the militants who have been banned. He has also asked the concerned authorities to initiate probe regarding the Pathankot terror attacks and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
This is an unprecedented move that has supposedly come up as a reaction to the international isolation that Pakistan has been facing lately. Of late, the SAARC Summit that was scheduled to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan from 15-16 Nov 2016 had to be canceled after India pulled out of it and later many of the other member countries too had withdrawn from it.

Criticism from the US –
Recently, US has also condemned Pakistan for not taking an active part to resolve the Kashmir Issue.
“Want this (Kashmir issue) to be worked out between both sides, we want to see the tensions that exist right now be brought down and for dialogue to take its place – meaningful dialogue to try to address these issues bilaterally between the countries.”
– John Kirby, US State Department Spokesperson
And now questions are being posed from Nawaz’s own country as well. Recently, a lawmaker from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League asked Nawaz Sharif, “Which eggs is Hafiz Saeed laying that we are nurturing him?” The lawmaker demanded quick action against Hafiz Saeed. He further said that such are the inefficiencies of their system that they have not been able to even curtail Hafiz till now.
And finally, Nawaz Sharif has taken a step that should have been taken long ago.
