Ok Jaanu First Day Collection: The expectations were pretty high from the movie as the superhit Aashiqui-2 couple of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor was returning after a long time. But the movie seems like failed to impress the audience and looks like people don’t want to start the new year with being OK with Ok Jaanu.
The movie opened on a negative note and gets only a marginally above Rs 4 Crore on the opening day.
Here’s the tweet by the Biz Analyst Taran Adarsh informing the opening day collection of Ok Jaanu.

However, the movie trailer received got some boost to the director and producers as it received decent view online. Also, the songs were also pretty average and failed to raise the buzz for the movie the results we can feel in the opening day collections. However, the last two weekend day are still going to be crucial for the movie.
But expecting a higher margin rise than Ok Jaanu first day collection could also be wrong to predict as the movie could see marginal rise in the collection on the Saturday and Sunday.’
The movie is the Hindi remake of South hit Ok Kanmani and it was expected that the pairing of the Aditya and Shraddha could work for the makers but people seems to have a different opinion. The trailer also didn’t excite the audience but the chemistry between the lead does excite many. Also, the movie didn’t get the positive reviews either, that could also be a reason behind the poor opening collection.
But now, demonetization could not be blamed for the poor performance of movies on Box-Office. As the Dangal starring Aamir Khan broke all the Box-Office Collection records despite so many odds in the way. The movie as of now has crossed the 360 Crore margin at the domestic Box-Office only.
