Global software and cloud specialist, Oracle, has revealed its tremendous expectation of a ten time growth by 2020 in India. Yes, you got that right! Oracle expects ten times growth! One of the top executives said that India is a huge market for the numerous cloud services offered by Oracle.

It is very much achievable.

Safra Catz, Global CEO of Oracle said at Oracle OpenWorld (OOW) 2016, “Cloud will be an enormous market opportunity for us in India. My expectation is to become 10 times the size we are now in India by 2020. Actually for us, it is the single largest growth potential country.”

Plans for India

Catz visited India earlier in April. She gave her word on a $400 million investment in the technology hub – Bengaluru. She also announced the first Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator in the metropolitan.

Also, she said that she will open nine software and technological centres across the country along with an initiative to train 500,000 Indian students every year.
