Paswan admitted to hospital: Union Minister and LJP president Ramvilas Paswan was admitted to the hospital on Thursday’s late evening after he complained of breathlessness. Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the minister R C Meena told PTI that Pawan was admitted to the ICU of Paras hospital. Paswan’s younger brother and Bihar LJP president Pashupati Kumar Paras told PTI from the hospital that the minister was taken to the hospital around 8.30pm after he complained of breathlessness.

As the news of Paswan’s admission in the hospital spread, LJP supporters started gathering outside the hospital on Bailey road.

Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs Paswan earlier arrived here today on a four-day tour of the state during which he had some political engagements in Patna, Khagaria, Begusarai and Mokamah before hosting Makarsankranti fest in Patna on January 15.

Minister’s wife and his son Chirag Pawan are with him at the hospital said LJP spokesman Ashraf Ansari. Doctors attending the Minister said he was stable and responding to the treatment. Parmod Kumar from cardiology department of Paras hospital and Ajay Sinha, joined by Doctor Sanjeev Kumar told PTI that Paswan were attending to Paswan in the ICU. Sanjeev Kumar told PTI that Paswan underwent from left Ventricular Failure caused by drop of oxygen in the body, however, is now stable and responding to treatment.

On the other hand, Chirag Paswan said he would take him to Delhi tomorrow. Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar, RJD president Lalu Prasad accompanied by his son Tejas  Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav and Governor Ramnath Kovind enquired the health of Center Minister.
