Paytm new features: The digital payment platform Paytm said on Wednesday that it will soon shift its Paytm wallet to the Paytm payments bank account i.e. the Paytm wallet holders will now have a bank account with Paytm from Jan 15 onwards.
Paytm new features will make digital transactions easier
The company has clarified that the mobile wallet will continue to function even after January 15 and has brushed away the hoax message that has been circulating for days claiming that the paytm wallets will not function after Jan 15.
“There are some rumors circulating that you will not be able to use the Paytm Wallet after 15th January! Nothing could be farther from the truth. On the contrary, Paytm Wallet users will soon enjoy additional benefits through Paytm Payments Bank Account”, Paytm said in its blog post.
The new features that will be added to the app after Jan 15 are –
The self-declared merchants will be able to transact easily through the app as they will be able to accept payments up to Rs 50000 directly in their bank accounts.
To enable this feature and to become the ‘self-declared’ merchants, the individual will have to tap on ‘accept deposit’ option in the app after Jan 15.
Now fingerprints can also be set as the passwords, the company claims that it is completely secure to opt for this option.
