Rodrigo Duterte comments: Phillippine President Rodrigo Duterte had recently said that he wanted the corrupt officials to be thrown out of the flying helicopter and he said that he had done it earlier as well.
Rodrigo Duterte comments start controversy yet again
“If you are corrupt I will fetch you with a helicopter and I will throw you out on the way to Manila…I will pick you up in a helicopter to Manila, and I will throw you out on the way…I have done that before, why should I not do it again?”, Duterte said at Filipino in a speech at the Camarines Sur provincial capitol while visiting the typhoon-afflicted areas.
His spokesperson later confirmed the incident when Duterte had thrown an official out of the mid-flight plane, however, the President later negated doing any such act as he said that he was just joking – “We had no helicopter; we don’t use that…I am playing you…Your team knows I really want to say jokes.”

He said that his anti-corruption campaign and the anti-drug campaign would be the prime focus of his six-year long service.
“As we have stated previously, we are deeply concerned by reports of extrajudicial killings by or at the behest of government authorities in the Philippines”, State Department spokeswoman Anna Richey-Allen said in an email as a response to Reuters.
His comments prompted a call from the Unite Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for having the investigation started into the matter.
