Smriti Irani: Union textile minister and BJP Leader Smriti Irani while a scathing attack on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said she is nor for campaigning for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and alleged Gandhi fears facing people.

Smriti Irani said on her arrival while addressing a rally Amethi. Irani said that Priyanka is not campaigning in Amethi because she cannot face people’s questions.
On the other hand, Bhartiya Janata Party has yet not disclosed the name of its Chief Ministerial face in the State, however Irani is considered to be a strong contender for the post.
When questioned Irani if she would be the CM if BJP comes to power, she did not give any clear answer but said “every BJP worker wants that party forms the next government in Uttar Prades”.
UP’s 69 constituencies will go to polls on February 19 for the third phase of voting for which BJP has started its campaigning. But the popular face in the constituency of Amethi Priyanka Gandhi did not hold any kind of campaigning.
Irani had defeated to Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha polls 2014, said she has been working for the people of the constituency despite the defeat. However, Priyanka Gandhi has not visited Amethi to campaign due to the unfulfilled promises, she said. “Priyanka wants to avoid people’s questions,” she said.

Speaking out on the newly –formed alliance of Congress and Samajwadi party, Irani said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav went with Congress as he was not sure of a victory alone.
Irani also attacked BSP supremo Mayawati for her recent comments on BJP, saying that she just only want to remain in headlines.
