Head coach Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by Chelsea Football Club.

Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with head coach Thomas Tuchel.

The manager was fired by the company following Chelsea's UEFA Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday. 

At the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb, Dinamo Zagreb defeated Chesla 1-0 on Tuesday. 

As Chelsea's manager, it was Thomas Tuchel's 100th and final game. 

German professional football manager Thomas Tuchel, 49, was informed of the decision on Wed morning.

The club's new owner, Todd Boehly, decided to sack Thomas. 

In a brief statement posted on the club website, Chelsea thanked Tuchel for his efforts and announced the changes needed to move the club forward.

Chelsea's coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach.

According to an article on the official website, 

There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made.
