“In order to hold accountability and ease day-to-day transactions, the TTD Board has made arrangements for e-donations, e-hundi, e-publications, e-challan, e-darshan, e-accommodation and e-seva”, said an official.

Tata Consultancy Services spokesperson said, “TCS, as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, has been working with TTD towards enriching better pilgrim experience and implemented various improvements, including new online web portal enabling faster booking of sevas, darshan, refining donor management system, better system operating procedures, etc.”

The digital mode of transactions has been introduced by the TTD board in collab with the Tata Consultancy Services in order to ease many of the important operations undertaken by the board. Also, this decision by TTD is sought to help out the pilgrims with an easy procedure of transfer of donations and for accommodation and seva.

“The online booking, arjitha seva tickets, accommodation, e-hundi, demat, e-books are just a few to mention. But still there is a long way to go and need to integrate the system by developing a next generation application.”

As per TTD Board, the donations by the pilgrims per day are Rs 3 crore, and ever since demonetisation has been introduced in the country, the temple has recorded an increase in the number of donations. So, to manage the donor’s data and the donations more efficiently, a new app will soon be rolled out by the board partnering with the TCS which will provide a platform for the devotees to easily transfer money for donations and other seva for the temple.

Earlier, the temple was providing darshan, accommodation, laddoo prasadam distribution and books’ services digitally.
