Thursday night featured Taylor Swift perform in Tampa for the first time since the public heard of her breakup from Alwyn.
The pop queen took the stage for the first time since news surfaced that she and boyfriend Joe Alwyn had called it quits after six years of relationship on Thursday night in Tampa, Florida.
The “Anti-Hero” singer, 33, performed at Raymond James Stadium as part of her sold-out Eras Tour, and she was enthusiastic as she began her three-hour set.
Swift welcomed the fans at Raymond James Stadium between songs, stating, “We have a lot to catch up on.”
Swift’s comeback to the spotlight came after her breakup with Alwyn, 32, became public over the weekend.
“They’ve had tough moments in the past and always worked things out, so friends believed they’d take some time apart but eventually come back together,” the source claimed, adding that Swift and Alwyn “weren’t the right fit for each other.”
Swift and Alwyn’s managers have not commented on the split.
Swift surprised the crowd one week before the split by replacing the Traditional love song “Invisible String,” which had been on every previous setlist, with “The 1,” which focuses on the “what ifs” of a lost romance.
Throughout their relationship, the couple kept their affair private, denying engagement rumours in recent years.
Nonetheless, sources said the actor disliked the spotlight, citing his desire for privacy when asked about Swift during interviews.
Taylor Swift and Alwyn are still “friendly,” according to another insider, and the singer “doesn’t have anything bad to say about Joe.”
Swift is scheduled to continue her Eras Tour until August.
