Navratri Durga Pooja Vidhi
As Navratri festival begins from October 1, there are a few things you ought to know about the vidhi for Pooja. First of all, you should have everything required for pooja ready.
The things required for pooja are “dupatta” for offering, Durga Saptshati book, coconut, moli, rice, supari, kumkum and sindoor. You should get up before sunrise, tidy up after having a shower. Then in the worship area, light “Akhand Jyot” in front of Maa Durga and also light up incense sticks.
Durga Puja Shubh Muhurat
Ghathasthapna is one of the most important parts of Navratri pooja. Our scriptures give all the proper guidelines for Ghathasthapna. It must be done in the Shubh Mahurat or else the Ghathasthapna and Durga Pooja will not be fruitful. The Ghathasthapna must be done in morning just after the sunrise.
As for the first day of Navratri, the auspicious time for Durga pooja is 6:17 am to 7:29 am. The duration of the Shubh Muhurat for Ghathasthapna will be 1 hour 11 minutes. This Mahurat falls on the Pratipada tithi.
