May 19, 2016: Prime Minister Narendra Modi led-NDA government will stick to the promises by its vote to provide electricity to every house of the Nation. Union Minister for Power and Coal said that the task will be completed by 2022.
Goyal when interviewed by head of the ETV news, Mr. Jagadeesh Chandra on the popular “The J C show’ said that the nation is benefitting from the implementation of schemes based on PM’s vision and the “government has promised to provide electricity by the 2022 and will fulfill the promise”.
He also further added that at the present era now there is no scarcity of coal for the thermal power plants. And as compared during the time of Congress, there were shortages of coals for these power plants. The government has sorted out the problems and now the power plants are producing electricity with resourceful use of domestic coals.
Goyal also said that the other schemes like Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana (Uday) Yojana have been emphasized and taken initiative by the Centre to involve all state government and banks to benefit the nation. He also futher added that the import of coal under NDA have reduced.
In the last year financial report, the government has saved rupees 24 thousand crores from import of coals. And this year it is expected that the government may save upto 40 thousand crores rupees. Concerning these reports, the government this year is saving 6 billion foreign currencies, said Goyal.
