3 June 2016: A seven year old Japanese boy that went missing since Saturday after his parents abandoned him as punishment in the bear inhabitant jungle in northern Japan was ‘found alive’ today by the soldier and the boy was reunited with his parents.
According to the reports, Yamato after he was left alone in the jungle apparently took shelter in the military base. He had taken shelter in the hut without a food with just only drinking water from the tap that kept him alive.
The boy was discovered by the self defense force official today who was on a drill found the boy whose age seems nearly seven and asked the boy what was his name? The boy hastily responded and was immediately asked for food as the boy was hungry, said the officials.
The boy somehow managed to survive in the barely dense forest for 6 days without any food. There were drizzling of rain drops that have fallen at night, this little boy had survive despite of wearing only a T – Shirt and Jeans for about a week, says the officials.
The parents were reunited with the boy and the father regretfully apologize his son. The shelter that the boy lived for 6 days was some 5.5 km away from the site where he went missing. The boy said that, he kept drinking water from the tap that was there outside the building where he took shelter.
Yamato was discovered without any harm and absolutely healthy. Although the boy was healthy, he was being taken to the hospital for a precaution check up as the body temperature of the boy was low.
The boy’s father expressed that, he is glad that Yamato is safe and alive and thanked the rescuers team for the efforts the team have given to locate the boy and apologized for causing trouble.
According to the Kyodo news agency, the police are considering to file of negligence charges against the parents. In the recent reports, the parents initially cited that their son went missing after they went hiking to gather wild vegetables, wherein later they admitted that they ordered their son to stay by the roadside as the parents became angry with boy that he was misbehaving by throwing stones on the cars and to peoples.
The local newspaper said that the boy went walking 5.5 km from the site where he went missing and took shelter in the military base. The boy is now going under treatment as a precaution in the hospital said the reports.
