PM Awas Yojana in Gujarat: Aiming to provide shelters to all the people in the country, government has launched the scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. The Scheme has especially for those people who are homeless or living shacks. The center is committed to providing homes under this scheme to those at affordable prices. The government will offer loan facility up to 6 lakh to the eligible beneficiaries.

Under this scheme, around 2508 cities have been selected across the country for building affordable houses. The main purpose of this scheme is to provide affordable housing for people of the low-income group and people who are in economically weaker section (EWS). The government has been implemented the scheme throughout the country. For this,Central Government of India has chosen more than 170 cities from Gujrat for the construction of cheapest housing under PM Awas Yojna.

The scheme has launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as  “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana”- to provide houses for all by the end of 2022 when the nation will be celebrated its 75th year of independence. As per the scheme, the need of urban poor people which is proper owned houses will be constructed along with the private developers.

To construct houses from all homeless people from urban areas, the central government has availed the participants of private builders and slum rehabilitation of slum dwellers.

Government Plans to offer credit linked subsidy to their respective bank accounts of the beneficiaries from the economically weaker section.

The entire process of construction and offering houses  for all homeless citizen from low-income Group and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) will be carried with the partnership of private sectors.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Gujarat

 For completing the mission which is set for the PM’s awas yojana, the scheme has been processed with 3 phases.  Several cities and towns are chosen in the first phase from the various states. More than 170 cities are selected from the State of Gujarat.

Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

The main beneficiaries of this latest housing for all scheme 2022 will be –

1. Women
2. People belonging to Scheduled Casts(SC)
3. People belonging to Scheduled Tribes(ST)
4. Economically weaker section(EWS)

Note – In order to verify that the applicant belongs to the EWS or LIG group, the applicant needs to submit self-certificate or Affidavit as proof of Income.

The income should not exceed –

• Rs. 3 Lakh p.a. for EWS applicants
• Rs. 6 Lakh p.a. for LIG applicants

AGE –  applicants should be between 21 to 55 years.
