PM Narendra Modi Mann ki Baat: Modi extensively spoke about his demonetisation move for the first time ever since November 8. Modi has kept mum in the parliament despite the constant demands of the opposition to answer their questions regarding the huge step of demonetisation undertaken by him, however, on his programme Mann ki Baat, he has justified his move.
In his Mann ki Baat programme for December, he defended his move and justified it saying that it has been done to help people of the country and resolve their issues while on the other hand the constant attacks of the forces that pose hurdles to the operations of the government have also been tackled with.

He expressed hope that the people of the country will soon opt for the digital platform for the routine transactions and he also acknowledged the hardships of this shift which are currently being faced by the citizens.
He also launched two new schemes – Lucky Grahak Yojna and Digi Dhan Vyapaar Yojna to promote the digital payments.
“I assure you this is just the beginning in our fight against corruption. We have to win this war. There is no question of stopping… there is no question of retreat”, PM Narendra Modi said.
Narendra Modi said that all those who support black money and corruption are criticising his move, however, he will further extend his fight his fight against these perils by the enactment of the ‘Benami Properties Act’.
“being a sensitive government, it amends rules as required, keeping the convenience of the people as its foremost consideration, so that citizens are not subjected to hardships”, he added.
Brushing away the allegations against his political party he said that it is wrong to claim that BJP has an edge over others which is enjoying the gains coming out of the demonetisation move as he said that “all are equal before the law”.
