“The net discounted amount will also be shown on the cash memo accompanying the home-delivery of the LPG cylinder”, the statement added.
The customers can make the online payment through net banking, credit cards and the debit cards. The discounted amount will be displayed after the payment is done. A subsidised LPG cylinder of 14.2 kg costs Rs 434.70 in Delhi and the same cylinder costs Rs 585 under the unsubsidised prices.
Total twelve cylinders are available at the subsidised rate for the subsidy users and after exhaustion of all twelve cylinders, they too have to buy the cylinders at the unsubsidised or normal prices.
The oil marketing companies have taken up this step to promote the use of digital payment methods and help in making a shift to the cashless society.
