Till now Microsoft has been pushing the updates for windows 7 and 8.1 with windows 10 free upgrade for quite a long time now. However the upgrade has been very confusing to the users as it did not portray the option of cancelling or declining the option clearly. The click here to change upgrade schedule or cancel scheduled upgrade was very easy for someone to miss.
The dialogue box also did not say the message if the red ‘X’ was clicked on the dialogue box the update will be cancelled. The Redmond based tech giants receiving such feedback from the users have revamped the dialogue box in a way which helps the user decide clearly about upgrading to windows 10.
The recent version says you can either upgrade it now, chose the preferred time or decline the offer altogether.
The dialogue box says that the last date for upgrade is July 29. Though some people has taken advantage of this offer there are many who do not want it at all. Some users are forced to upgrade to windows 10 as the dialogue box did not say the options clearly. This aggressive push by windows was not everyone’s cup of tea hence Microsoft has given clearer options now to users. Also assistance has been provided to roll back to Windows 7 or 8. Microsoft however maintains that Windows 10 will have better user experience than previous versions and also have upgraded security measures in place to prevent phishing, identity theft and viruses.
