Shootout in Bengaluru: President of Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Bengaluru Srinivas Kadabagere was shot by two bike-borne assailants in Bengaluru on Friday afternoon at Kogilu Cross, Ballary Road leading to Kempegowda International Airport.
Shootout in Bengaluru: Attackers fired six rounds and two hit Srinivas
Initial reports indicating that Srinivas was moving in his official car, the assailants opened fire at him. They have fired total six rounds out of two hit Srinivas.
Srinivas rushed to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The hospital is yet to provide a medical status to the police.
A team consists of officers, including city police Commissioner Preveen sood rushed to the spot.
Senior police officers said that PS Harsha, deputy commissioner of police, north-east has been given a charge of the investigation and some special teams have been formed to arrest the assailants.
The way where incident happened is cordoned off
A road where unidentified two bike-borne shot Srinivas was cordoned-off which leads to the airport and the traffic has been diverted. A team of the forensic department and ballistics experts are on the spot to investigate the crime scene.
Sirinivas was recently elected to the post, was facing various criminal case against him, including murder, riot and criminal threats. His brother too is a notorious rowdy-sheeter in the city. As per the police sources, he had recently changed his political affiliation. But the reason behind of the attack is still unclear.
