New Delhi 31 March 2016, PTI: Indigo Airline has announced the new system by charging extra domestic flight cancellation fees for the booked tickets. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will be the man of queries after the airlines start charging up to Rs.2, 250 on every domestic flight ticket cancellation. This domestic flight cancellation of Indigo Aviation charge will start from the 1st April onwards.
According to the airline, all customers would also not be refunded for the booking cancellation before two hours from the scheduled departure time. The fees for the cancellation of the booking tickets will be about Rs.2, 250 for all the normal domestic flights.
According to the Indigo last cancellation fees status, the airlines were been following the fee structure of about Rs.1900 in the last month of February while the duration of the cancellation process is limited to 7 days. And the revised fees structure for cancellation would be Rs.2, 250 between the duration of 2 hours to 7days from the time of departure of the flight.
These cancellation fees were allotted earlier also, but before last few years due to sudden changes in the aviation systems, the charge for the cancellation hikes. And from the 1st of April, this will be followed for all the passengers to take flight on Indigo.
The amount Indigo Airline are charging is a strong indication for customers to book flight tickets only when you are 100% sure.
