The Election commission has strictly ordered that from now no political party shall use public money or public place for promoting itself or its symbol during the election campaign and after too. After the allegation on BSP that it put up statues of elephants, which is its election symbol when it was in power in Uttar Pradesh, Election commission has taken this step.
EC said that “the party will utilize public funds/ Public place for branding or propagate its election symbol would be incompatible with the concept of free and fair election”.
EC has sent a copy of notification to the concern authorities
EC has sent the letter regarding this concern to presidents, general secretaries, chairpersons, and conveners of all regained national and state political parties in which it clarified that a violation of the directions would be considered as a violation of the legal direction of the Commission.
Political parties welcomed EC’s decision
On the other hand, almost every party has welcomed the decision of the Election Commission. “The Tandon report and CAG came down harshly On Delhi government and it is cleared that they used the public fund for the branding of the party,” said BJP leader RP Singh. He also emphasized a number of posters allegedly put up by AAP in several areas of the Delhi in order to aware people about the odd-even scheme while using public funds. He urged to EC to take action as well as issue notice to Delhi Government.
BIG Question- Will the directions be followed by leaders?
Welcoming the move, Congress leader Sandeep Dixit also mentioned the misuse of public funds by AAP. At the same time, JDU leader Pawan Verma said that while the decision is right, but the implementation is more important. HE further added, “You can’t use public funds to promote a political party. It is the first rule of the democracy that you separate governance and political activities. The question is raised here that whether the political parties will follow this direction or not.”
It’s worth mentioning here that EC’s directions came following the judgment of the honorable Delhi high Court, which had in July remanded back to the poll panel a petition seeking cancellation of Bahujan Samaj party symbol “elephant” for alleged misuse of public funds by the Mayawati government for installing its statues across the state.
Mayawati and Maluyam have ruined UP by looting recklessly in last 25 years. Both leaders ruled UP but no tangible progress is visible anywhere in state except making stone images worth thousand of crores by Mayawati. The people are fade up with dramas of CORRUPT AND ANTI-PEOPLE POLITICIANS who are wasting public money on pomp and shows while billion of people are suffering due to rampant corruption compelling people to live in poverty and backwardness where even basic necessities are not provided by govt. What is alternative for people specially youths of country who are running pillars to post for post of peons, sweepers and other menials jobs which is not available for them while illiterate sons and daughters of politicians are holding top posts in govt as CM, DyCM, ministers and other posts. Laloo and Maulyam’s families are glaring examples when both illiterate sons of Laloo are made DyCM and minister in Bihar by Nitish Kumar and all members of Maulyam’s families are holding important posts in UP govt. Rahul is another example who is dreaming for PM at the cost of nation bringing poverty and backwardness all over the country so that Pakistan can launch massive attack on India if such a weak person is made PM of India. What is alternative for educated and qualified youths of UP who have no future ? The corrupt politicians are making all efforts to make this country weak, illiterate and immature by adopting different dubious means. So youths of country must rise to the occasion in defeating all corrupt and non-governing regional parties like SP and BSP who are curse for the 20 crores people of UP. The public of UP must defeat both parties who have cheated people of state on basis of caste and religion. These regional parties are one man show under control of Maluyam and Mayawati while rest of leaders are treated as slaves. The people must not seal their future by voting to SP and BSP which is run for individual interest and dynasty politics rather than working for masses of state who are still reeling under acute poverty and backwardness even after 69 years of independence. Muslims are worst affected due to voting to SP and BSP. So they should be very careful in future while voting to these corrupt and greedy parties whose sole objective is to loot state resources leaving people in poverty.
