The continuation of burning schools is not finished yet in the valley of Kashmir. On Saturday, a school building was ravaged in a fire in Bandipora district of Kashmir by unknowns. The number of damaged school has been increased to 32 during the ongoing unrest in the valley, police said on Saturday.” A fire broke out in an old building of Government High School at Saidnara in Bandipora district last night,” a police said.
32 schools have been destroyed by the unknown persons
He said fire tenders were rushed to the spot but could not save the building from being destroyed. Police said it has taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation to find out the cause of the fire in kashmir’s shool. As many as 32 schools have been targeted by unknown persons since the unrest began in the Kashmir on July 8 following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan wani in an encounter with security forces. Jammu and Kashmir High Court last week took Suo moto notice of the incidents and directed the state government to make sure that the schools are protected.
Education department failed to save the school buildings
On the other hand, state government was formed a team of education department’s officials who had given responsibility to care of the schools’ properties during at night time while staying in the schools. But all the plannings of the government has come to nothing.
