James Cameron has kept Avatar 2 fans thinking about the release of the movie. The last Avatar movie which was released in 2009 was a huge hit. Till then the producers have been planning for the sequels. The only problem has been the release dates which are being pushed year after year. Avatar 2 release date was once announced but due to some disruptions in pre-production, it was completely removed from the movie release calendar.
Schedule planned for Avatar 2
20th Century Fox has announced that James Cameron’s production company will release the dates of Avatar sequel. Nevertheless, Deadline states that the dates that James Cameron is planning must be the release dates of the most anticipated sci-fi drama. Many pointers state that the release dates for the sequel have been 2018 for a while and now it has been set for Christmas 2018.
Fluctuating schedule for Avatar 2 release
The very first time when Avatar 2 was announced, it was supposed to release in 2014. But the release was further postponed due to James Cameron plans for writing the bombastic script. The creators also extended the script to three series instead of two. Thereafter, the movie got delayed to 2016 and then 2017. After the announced dates for Star Wars: Episode VIII, was delayed into December 2017, Avatar schedule was pulled off completely from release calendar with no new dates.
James Cameroon wants Avatar 2 in a big way
James Cameron has been minutely looking into everything of Avatar 2; he wants the sequel in a bigger way. His dreams are so huge that they really seem to have become bigger than the actual movie could ever be. We’re hoping that the movie has been given an actual date again is an indication that Avatar is actually ready to move forward. The question is will Avatar 2 really happen? If yes, then are these dates the actual original dates? From the studio point of view, it can be shifted again. But from the fans point of view, they are hoping the dates to be the actual one.
Hopefully, Avatar 2 will be released on December 21, 2018.
