Caterina Scorsone talked up about the terrifying house fire and how she saved her children.
Nobody can understand how a mother feels when her children are in risk. Caterina Scorsone, best known for her role as Dr. Amelia Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, faced a similar situation a few months ago. Caterina recently disclosed a terrible occurrence in which her house burned down a few months ago, and she was able to save her girls in time.
Caterina has three daughters with her ex-husband Rob Giles: Eliza, 10, Paloma “Pippa,” 6, and Lucky, 3. She recently shared what happened in the incident in her Instagram handle.
Caterina Scorsone documented the incident on her Instagram account, writing about how she rescued her children in 2 minutes. “Smoke began to seep up through the grout around the tub while I was getting my kids ready for night and finished bath time.” A river of thick black smoke had already formed and was filling the home as I peered down the corridor. One thing about fires is that they spread quickly. I had approximately two minutes to get my three kids out of the house, and we got away with nothing more than our shoes. But we made it out.”
Caterina Scorsone stated that she is “eternally grateful” for escaping the raging fire with her three girls, but she also revealed that they lost all four of their pets in the fire. “We’re still dealing with that loss,” she added, “but we’re lucky we got to love them at all.”
Caterina shared her tale with her large audience to express her gratitude to everyone who supported her during this trying time. “This is a love letter to the great folks who turned up and did so in incredible ways,” she added. Thank you to the parents at my children’s school who contributed toys and books, to my @greysabc and @shondaland friends who sent clothing and supplies, and to my sisters who flew in to handle logistics so that I could be with my children.”
Cat’s Grey’s Anatomy co-stars expressed their love and support in the comments section after she shared the photo on Instagram. “The only thing that matters are the people (and beings) that you love,” wrote Melissa DuPrey, who plays Dr. Sara Ortiz. Community is the only thing that matters.”
Who is Caterina Scorsone?
Caterina Scorsone is a Canadian-American actress who was born on October 16, 1981. She is well known for her role as Dr Amelia Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy. Prior to this, she made her acting debut as a little child in Canada’s Mr. Dressup. She also made several movie appearances, including those in The November Man (2014) and Edge of Darkness (2010). Additional television appearances include Callie Wilkinson in Crash, Jess Mastriani in Missing, and Alice Hamilton in Alice.
In June 2009, Scorsone married Rob Giles of The Rescues. They have three daughters: Eliza and Arwen Lucinda “Lucky” and Paloma Michaela “Pippa”.
