There has been a research campaign for estimating the increased in the earth surface temperature. And as reported by the researcher it has been said that global warming will make the planet far hotter than what scientist expected, the reason is scientist models do not correctly say for the influence of clouds. The study in the journal Science was led by researchers at Yale University and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. This study is funded by NASA and the Department of Energy’s Office of Science.

The climate scientists look ahead to how much the planet’s surface may warm up in response to a doubling of carbon dioxide by-product of fossil fuel burning. The scientist predict rise of between 2.1 and 4.7 degrees Celsius (3.75 to 8.5 degrees Fahrenheit).
But according to the researcher, this model overestimated the ability of clouds to reflect back the sunlight and counteract warming in earth atmosphere. It has been found that climate sensitivity increased from four degrees Celsius in the default model to 5 to 5.3 degrees Celsius in versions that were modified to bring liquid and ice amounts into closer agreement with observations.
The problems seen now a day with the model is that they assume that there is more ice in clouds but they are really not. Icier clouds would gain more liquid in a warming environment, and more liquid in clouds would mean less global warming. Most climate models say’s that they glaciate below freezing, so they are likely exaggerating the increase in cloud reflectivity as the atmosphere warms- Commented by co-author Mark Zelinka.
The researcher has also concluded that clouds may increase the warning, rather than lessen it
