The Chinese telecommunication firm – Coolpad, announced its Note 5 on September 30 and is up for grabs now. Coolpad Note 5 is an Amazon exclusive.
It bears a tagline of ‘Beast among the best.’ It comes with a price tag of Rs.10,999. Let us have a closer look on its specifications.

It flaunts a 5.5-inches Full HD IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 401ppi. The phone also comes with a scratch-resistant glass over the display panel.
Processor
It features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which is clocked up to 1.5 GHz.
GPU
The GPU onboard is Adreno 405.
Storage
It comes with 4 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of ROM. If 32 GB is not enough then you can pump it up to 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card inserted into the hybrid SIM 2 slot.
Camera
On the camera front, the phone has a 13 MP rear camera (f/2.2, dual-LED flash) along with an 8 MP front shooter (f/2.2, LED flash).
OS
The Note 5 runs on Cool UI 8.0 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

It got all the tools to facilitate communication like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro-USB and USB on-the-go etc. NFC is missing but hardly anyone notices that.

The USP of the phone is its large battery which will easily last a day even with heavy usage. Thanks to the FHD screen with a mediocre pixel resolution. It is a 4G enabled phone with support for VoLTE. The company claims that the fingerprint sensor will read the print and unlock the device in just a matter of 0.5 seconds.
It comes in 2 colour variants – Royal Gold and Space Grey. The Coolpad Note 5 can only be purchased online (via Amazon) for Rs.10,999. It will be facing direct competition from India’s largest selling phone – Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
