Administrative authorities on Monday announced the lifting of Curfew from the Valley of Kashmir after the unrest of 51 days in the valley. According to the News sources, the decision to lift curfew, which was imposed on July 9, was taken at a high-level security meeting on Sunday evening.
One of the Senior Official told IANS that “Curfew has been lifted from the entire Valley. But, it will remain in force in Pulwama town and in areas under the jurisdiction of Nowhatta and M.R.Gunj police stations in Srinagar.”
Stand of Kashmiri Separatists is still unchanged
But the separatists continued their Protest in the Valley even after lifting the Curfew. All of the Senior Separatist leaders are kept under detention in Srinagar and they also have issued a statement saying that people should continue the protest until September 1st.
All Party Delegation to Visit in Kashmir on September 3rd
An All-Party Delegation (Various Political Parties) is expected to visit in the Valley on September 3rd and Home Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to accompany the delegation.
This unrest in the valley started after the killing of Hizbul-Mujahideen Commander and Terrorist Burhan Wani, who was killed in a police encounter. In this 51 Day long period, 71 People including 68 Civilians and 3 Security Personals have been killed and around 11,000 people have got injured.
