David Cameron discloses first job: David Cameron (50), the Former Prime Minister of the UK has revealed his first job after submitting the resignation in the ‘House of Commons’. He had resigned as the Prime Minister of the UK on July 13, 2016, owing to its decision to leave the European Union.

He will be the Chairman of NCS Patrons

He will be taking up an unpaid job of taking up the extension of the National Citizen Service (NCS) for teenagers. He said that setting up NCS has been one of his proudest achievements so far in an article he wrote for The Daily Telegraph. Till now 2,75,000 people have taken part in it.

He had launched it while he was in power with a plan to build a “Big Society”.

Cameron wishes that every teenager can avail of the benefits that NCS has to provide. He aims to let NCS reach every teenager to teach them better ways of team-building and work for community projects.

“I am delighted that my first role in my life after politics is to continue my association with this fantastic programme by becoming chairman of NCS Patrons, bringing together a senior cross-party and cross-sector group of patrons and ambassadors who can help NCS to reach more youngsters.”

David Cameron is of the view that building soft skills, instilling self-confidence, resilience, and creativity can help the children to get on in life better. Apart from this, he wishes that the children should be taught to “build bridges across social divides”.

David Cameron will be the Chairman of the NCS Patrons. The NCS will soon attain a legal footing with the coming of NCS Bill the work for which is being led by the present PM Theresa May.

NCS will be open for the kids of 15 to 17 years of age and they will be mentored through NCS to help them learn all the basics that will help them live a wholesome life. Apart from this, the outdoor activities will also be included from time to time.

David Cameron has quit his political career entirely by stepping down from his seat of MP in the Parliament last month.
