Delhi NCR and Haryana hit by 4.4 magnitudes earthquake

The strong jolt of earthquake felt in the wee hours on Thursday in Delhi and adjoining areas of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad, although no casualties happened reported from anywhere in the city. The intensity of earthquake has measured 4.4 Richter scale.

The epicenter of earthquake was near Delhi-Haryana area

According to the National Centre for Seismology, a unit of Ministry of Earth Sciences, the mild tremor hit Delhi around 4.30. The center point of the earthquake was nearby the Capital of the nation Delhi-Haryana border.  Experts said that the earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers.

 NO immediate loss of lives and property

According to the reports, there was no immediate loss of lives and property from anywhere in the affected city. After hours of the earthquake, social media has flooded with information related to it. Most of the people tweeted on twitter to share the information and their experience.

It is worth mentioning here that Punjab is also a witness of an earthquake as yesterday an quake of 3.6 magnitudes hit Punjab’s Jalandhar district. According to the experts, the quake had around depth of 13 kilometers.
Twitterati woke up to the news claiming the jolt felt were strong. As per the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports, the epicenter is said to be near Rewari district in Haryana.
