The Government of India is still not in a mood to revoke the visa granted to Pakistani artists who are working in Bollywood notwithstanding the country tensions with that country. According to a senior of Home Ministry said that the government has no plan to cancel the visa of Pakistani artists working throughout the country.
Pakistani actors’ movies will not be screened on single screen theater of three states
On the other hand, The Cinema owners and Exhibitors Association of India on Friday that it will not allow to release of films with Pakistani actors in single screens in Maharashtra, Goa, and Gujarat.
In the wake of the September 18 terror attack an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir in which 19 Indian soldiers were killed, therefore the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena told Pakistani artists to quit India and threatened action against films like “Ae Dil ha Mushkil and “Raees” in which Pakistani actors are playing the roles. The Indian Motion Producer Association said it has passed a resolution urging Indian filmmakers to ignore working with the Pakistani actors until bilateral tensions between two countries settle.
Why MNS against Pakistani artists?
Although Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is totally against the Pakistani actors working in Bollywood. The issue became controversial after saying MNS to Pakistani artists like Fawad khan and Mahira Khan to leave India immediately, failing which the shooting of their movies will be stalled. Even MNS has also asked Salman Khan to leave the Country for backing those artists, and then the statement of the veteran actor “Om Puri” worked like “to pour oil on fire”. MNS Chief Raj Thakre had said on this issue Pakistanis should leave the country because that they earn from India “Bollywood” goes its some of the share to the terrorist.
