He said, citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 can now download their vaccination certificate through WhatsApp with the help of a text within seconds.

- 2) Type and send ‘covid certificate’ on WhatsApp
- 3) Enter OTP
Presently, people have to download their Covid vaccination certificate by logging into the CoWin portal. However, with this significant move, when several states are requiring vaccine certificates for inter-state travel and many organizations are allowing people only if they hold proof of vaccination, this process becomes much more convenient and faster.
This alternation feature added by WhatsApp got words of acknowledgement and praise from across the political members. Shashi Tharoor, senior Congress leader described the process as “simple and fast”.
