A few days ago, a few images of the Honor 8 Lite were leaked online but that doesn’t matter now. Ahead of MWC 2017 where Huawei was expected to launch several smartphones including the Honor 8 Lite. But Huawei has quietly launched the Huawei Honor 8 Lite in Finland and Sweden. Finland’s website named ‘Suomimobiili’ reported this development in the country.
The Honor 8 Lite is up for pre-orders and is priced at EUR 269 (roughly Rs. 19,600). It is set to go on sale in the country on February 14 in Sweden and February 17 in Finland.
Talking about the looks and design, the Honor 8 Lite looks more or less identical to the Honor 8, which was announced last July. It features a glass back along with a metal frame. However, specifications wise, the Honor 8 Lite is very similar to the refreshed Huawei P8 Lite (2017) launched recently, albeit with minute differences.

Display: The Honor 8 Lite features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection.
Processor and Software: It is powered by the company’s in-house Kirin 655 octa-core CPU paired with 3GB RAM. Just to compare, the Honor 8 sports a Kirin 950 SoC with 4GB RAM. Honor 8 Lite runs on EMUI 5.0 and is based on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Camera: For the photography lovers, the Honor 8 Lite sports a 12-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera as well with a 77-degree wide-angle lens.
Storage: The smartphone offers 16GB of internal storage with the option to further expand it via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Battery: For the juice, the smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery.
Availability and Colour Variants of Huawei Honor 8 Lite
Talking about the Colour Variants, the device is, however, initially available in white or black only but several other colour options are coming down the line as per company claims. One will have to wait to be able to get the Honor 8 Lite in gold until the end of February and the blue colour variant will be made available a month later in Finland.
But in Sweden, all these colour variants are already listed.
