Hyderabad building Collapse: Reports came out that the builder of under-construction seven-storey building that collapsed in Hyderabad at night on Thursday, Satyanarayana Singh is close to transport minister Mahender Reddy.
He had started his career as a small-time arrack seller and big money when the area, close to Gachibowli became and IT hub 16years ago.
Builder had been arrested many times for illegal activities
He is known among people in his area as Gudunba Singh, and also had been arrested several times for illegal arrack business, however since then, his family now holds extensive land and is running several real estate deals.
Both his sons Saketh and Anil Singh are part of TRS cadre. Saketh Singh had contested the GHMC elections in 2016 from Serlingampally, as an Independent candidate after he was denied a TRS ticket, but he lost.
Reddy denied to have any deals with Builder
A source was quoted as saying, “Whenever a GHMC official visited the site, Singh used to frighten him. He was threatening to file a complaint with the ACB. Construction has been going on for five months.”
When questioned about his link with the builder, Minister Mahender Reddy refused the reports saying, “I don’t know the builder. I have no deals with them.”
