JEE 2017 Changes: JEE Main 2017 pen-paper based exam was scheduled to be held on 2nd April 2017 while Computer based exam would be conducted on April 8 and 9, 2017.
In the cities Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh and Sharjah Paper – 1 in both the modes will be conducted, however, the candidates who will choose the computer based mode for Paper – 1 will appear for examination only on April 9, 2017. The Paper – 2 in all these cities will be conducted on April 2, 2017 in Pen & Paper based mode. JEE Main 2017 for the academic session 2017-18 has come up with some changes.
JEE 2017 Changes/ JEE 2017 Application Forms/ Exam Dates
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has notified following changes in the JEE pattern for 2017:
- Seven states have joined JEE Main System and will accept JEE Main 2017 score – States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions.
- State level Engineering exams will not be conducted in these states. These states will conduct their own counselling for filling the engineering seats.
Candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states are advised to fill in the JEE ( Main) 2017 application forms online. The Paper-1 is also an eligibility criterion for JEE Advance.
Following are steps to apply for the exam:
Step 1) Log on to the official website for the exam, jeemain.nic.in
Step 2) Scroll down and you’ll find ‘Apply for JEE mains 2017’. Click on the link.
Step 3) You’ll be directed to the web page containing important guidelines and instructions of the exam
Step 4) After making sure you have all your documents scanned, fill the form.
Step 5) Pay the fee
Step 6) Take a print out of the form for future reference.
