One year after missing Thanksgiving, Jenna Bush Hager posted a series of images of her daughters enjoying the holiday.
Jenna Bush Hager is expressing how grateful she is to her kids.
The 40-year-old mother of three and host of Today with Hoda & Jenna posted two happy images of her girls celebrating Thanksgiving on her Instagram Story on Thursday.
Poppy Louise, the middle daughter of Bush Hager, is seen in the first image beaming at the camera with her arms out wide.
The 6-year-old is clad in white pajamas with Santa Claus, a Christmas tree, and candy cane themes in the picture. She is also sporting a headband that says, “thankful.”
In her second Instagram Story post, Jeena Bush Hager reiterates these same feelings, posting them above a picture of her hugging her oldest daughter, Margaret “Mila” Laura, age 9.
The second image shows Jenna Bush Hager smiling up at the camera while her daughter is dressed in red and black checkered pajamas. Additionally, both people are sporting “thankful” headbands.
The Hager family decided to skip Thanksgiving last year and go directly to Christmas instead. In addition to hot chocolate, Christmas pajamas, and a Santa hat, Henry “Hal” Harold is shown in a photo posted by Bush Hager consuming it.
“He says he’s into hot chocolate and lights so screw Thanksgiving,” Bush Hager wrote of the now- three-year-old.
Jeena Bush Hager was open and honest about motherhood. Last month, stating that there are aspects of parenthood that are “not glamorous and can be draining.”
She said, “What I try to do is think that is life, those tedious parts are also that’s what we’re doing, that’s what we’re living,” and “I try to find the love and the pleasure that I know I have for my kids even in the tedious parts of parenting.”
“I hope I can have fun even when I’m exhausted and ready to go to bed and have asked them to brush their teeth for the one-hundredth time,” she added. “I just want to try to love those moments because that is it, that’s all we got.”

They got hitched in May of the following year in the Crawford, Texas, home of the Bush family.
The couple are parents to children, Henry “Hal” Hager, Mila, and Poppy Louise.
