Harminder Singh Mintoo, the Khalistan Liberation Force Chief was arrested on Monday morning, 16 hours after his runaway from the Nabha jail. He was arrested from the Delhi railway station by the state police, the calls made by Mintoo to his relatives in Subhash Nagar, Delhi helped the police in tracing him.
Furthermore, his call details reveal a shocking fact about his possible links with the Pakistani terrorist outfits. After the jailbreak on Sunday, the KLF Chief had made several calls to Pakistan and it is being suspected that those calls were made to either his accomplice or the ISI operatives.

After fleeing from the jail on Sunday, Harminder Singh Mintoo tried altering his outlook by trimming his beard and hair. When arrested, a pistol and Rs 19000 were found in his baggage. Mintoo along with Kashmeer Singh and Gurpreet Singh Sekhon had started off for Delhi, from there they were planning to go to Mumbai next.
The three had decided to meet in Goa on Wednesday and parted ways in Delhi. The police force led by DCP Pramod Kushwah was tracing Mintoo. DCP Kushwah said, “He moved around the station with extra caution and his beard seemed to be trimmed hurriedly. When the team confronted him, Mintoo pulled out his pistol and tried to fire but was overpowered by the team. He later identified himself as Mintoo.”
Mintoo has further revealed that he along with others had planned to set off for Thailand next week and raise funds for KLF. He also admitted having links with the Pakistani terrorist groups. The terrorist is currently kept under police custody and a thorough investigation into the plans of KLF is being undertaken by the police.
