Eden Garden, West Bengal: There has been the second match of the IPL season 9 2016 where KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) is against DD (Delhi Daredevils). The team Delhi won the toss and elected to bat first while KKR in the field were too strong and have taken down all the 10 wickets. Delhi can set only 98 runs at the end of 17th over in the match which Kolkata have to chase down only 99runs to win.
When Delhi is on strike, the KKR bowlers took full control over the DD batsman. Russell 3, Brad Hog 3, Piyush chawla 2 and Hastings 2. While on the second half when KKR on strike, Goutam Ghambir and Uthappa on strike; the target was not so tough for the batsman, Gambhir 38 (not out), Uthappa 35 (out) and Pandey 15 (Not out). With all only one wicket loss, KKr have bring the easy win against DD chasing down only 99 runs at just 14 over.
Man of the Match was awarded to Andre Russell for the great 3 wickets in just 3 overs. Team Delhi Skiper Zaheer commented that the team bowling attack was not so effective and claimed that being in an tournament every team will meet a bad game and this would probably the last bad game.
Winning team skipper, Ghambir have appreciated Russell’s gameplay and the entire team and also all the bowlers to take all the wickets.
