Man arrests for attacking woman: A 24-years-old man has been arrest from Gandhi Nagar in east Delhi for attacking a woman with a broken beer bottle for refusing his marriage proposal. He had been stalking her since October and had even tried to kidnap her once.Victim’s brothers had thrashed him when she told about the incident of stalking. He confessed that he attacked the woman with a bottle in front of her children to avenge the insult.
An accused was stalking victim several times
As per the complaint of a woman which she registered in October, the man Atul, stayed in her locality and used to harass her, even though he knew she was married and had two children. He had even tried to haul her by her arm a few times while she was on her way to work.
Although the woman did not tell the police but when he continuously stalked her, then she informed her brothers to intervene instead of informing the police. And, when her brother warned Atul to stay away from her, Atul threatened her with dire consequences.
Woman has admitted to hospital for a surgery
After some days, Atul and his brother went to woman’s house with a broken beer bottle and started attacking her and family members. They slit her throat with the bottle and thrashed her children when they tried to intervene. When she was beaten by the attackers, she screamed to help and to hear her voice, her neighbors reached the house. To see them coming, Atul along with his friend fled from the spot. The woman was admitted to a hospital for a surgery. A case has been registered against the accused.
