Manoj Tiwari as Delhi state president will be able to assemble one-third population in the Capital
Tiwari joined the party in 2013 and won 2014 Lok Sabha from North East Delhi. Sources even told that he could make a surprise entry to PM Narendra Modi’s cabinet. With the announcement, the tag of “outsider” stuck with Tiwari will wash out.
BJP Knows, his promotion in the party will help to assemble population from Eastern UP, Bihar, and Jharkhand who are residing in the Delhi and one-third of the State’s total electorates. In Delhi assembly elections, Poorvanachalis had played a vital role in making AAM Party government. Tiwari had already contested the national election in 2009 on a Samajwadi Party Ticket.
Interestingly, the current president Satish Upadhyay is no more exist in the good books of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah due to Delhi debacle last year. Upadhyay has not been able to take advantage on the week points of AAP as party and government.
BJP wants to bring migrants community’s votes through Tiwari
On a related note, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections are due next year and BJP wants to ensure that Tiwari being a celeb Bihari and having a huge following among the people of the state, can bring them the migrant community’s votes. Also, Tiwari has maintained a prominent image in the party and has been vocal on many issues including demonetisation.
