Mayawati Chooses out of Bharat Bandh Called by Opposition against Demonetisation

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Monday said that her party is the favor of the opposition-led ‘Bharat Bandh’ it opposes the method of demonetization move implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “They are accusing the opposition of going ahead with the Bharat Bandh. They themselves have imposed the bandh by this move. We are not responsible for this,” Mayawati said.

We do not support corruption but we are against the way of implementation of demonetization

 She further said the drastic action of demonetization totally immature which has inconvenienced the common people. “Although, we do not support corruption or black money, but we are also against the government’ way of implementation and the entire opposition is against it. She added why PM Modi is not appearing to answer in Parliament? He is making comments outside.

Only Left Front called Bharat Bandh in its States

The opposition parties have called for a nationwide protest today on Monday against demonetization move of the government. Only Left Front that has a presence in Kerala, Bengal and Tripura has called the Bharat Bandh in these states. On the other hand, Prime Minister Modi yesterday slammed the opposition for its all-India shutdown call over demonetization saying that country instead needed to eliminate the evil like black money and corruption from its roots.

During Parivarthan Rally in Kasya assembly segment of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi said addressing the gathering “on the one hand  we are initiating steps to control corruption, but on the other hand a few people are talking about Bharat Bandh”. He explained demonetization as a cure to the 70-years old illness of corruption.
