Meizu has launched the Meizu Pro 6s Smartphone, an upgraded version of its earlier Smartphone Pro 6. Although the smartphone seems to be the carbon copy of its base variant in respect to its design, but Pro 6s comes with upgrades in the camera and battery life. The smartphone is priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 26,700) in China.
Talking about the colour variants, the Meizu Pro 6s will be available in the same – Grey, Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold colour variants. Also, Meizu Pro 6s will sport the same curve-edged aluminium body with identical antenna bands design.
It is essential to mention that Meizu Pro 6s is just a specifications upgrade, while the design and look have been kept intact by Meizu. The Meizu Pro 6 was launched in April this year, with the price tag of CNY 2,500 (roughly Rs. 25,000).
Specifications of Meizu Pro 6s
Display: The smartphone features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with a pixel density of 423ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Processor: It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor with the 4 Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.4GHz, 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and 2 Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz. The deca-core processor is clubbed with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and Mali-T880 GPU.
Camera: The Meizu Pro 6s features a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear sensor with enhanced with 4-axis optical image stabilisation, laser-assistance, phase-detection autofocus, and 10-LED dual-tone ring flash. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture stays the same with large 1.4-micron pixels.
Battery: The battery has also been bumped up to 3060mAh (from the 2560mAh seen on the Pro 6). The smartphone supports fast charging with mCharge 3.0 technology via a 24W charger.
Dimensions: The Meizu Pro 6s measures at 147.7×70.8×7.3mm, and weighs 163 grammes.
Storage: The Meizu Pro 6s offers 64GB of non-expandable storage.
Connectivity and other features of Meizu Pro 6s
On the connectivity front, the Meizu Pro 6 comes with the support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity.
The Meizu Pro 6s also has the 3D Press functionality seen on the base variant, and the fingerprint scanner is integrated under the Home Button. The 3D Press feature is nothing but Meizu’s take on the 3D Touch pressure sensitive display technology that Apple debuted with the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
