People will get now e-tickets in just a few seconds through MobiKwik, a Gurgaon-based mobile wallet, and online payment company, Mobikwik has made collaboration with the Indian Railways, and officially announced its partnership with the India Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, which is subsidiary of the Indian Railways that manages the catering, tourism and online ticketing operation of the Indian Railways to make cash payments for tatkal ticket bookings.
What MobiKwik has brought new for Indian Railways in this deal?
Indian Citizens can pay directly using their MobiKwik wallet money rather than paying via net banking, Debit/credit cards, and other wallets. It claims that the user can pay with the wallet within 2seconds, whereas the other modes take minimum 10 minutes for making payments. But users have to preload their MobiKwik wallet with money, credit/debit card or cash loading before booking the ticket the same procedure, which we follow using other applications such as Paytm etc.
Users can book tickets instantly
Mobiwik collaborated with Indian Railways to digitize payments on the IRCTC app and IRCTC FoodOnTrack app this year and now we are powering payments for tatkal online that will help users book tickets almost instantly,” said MobiKwik co-founder Upasana Taku in a statement on Thursday.

Mobikwik said instant e-cash payments will help tatkal online in managing the load over a thousand tickets booking every minute. “The company also ensures users that their booking will not be rejected due to the payments delays. Statistics tells over 15% of tickets booking happens daily under tatkal” He said.
At the same time, Railways minister of India, Suresh Prabhu took tweet on twitter “Working on the constant upgrading of our services in various different aspects, but with one common objective. Serve you all better”.
