Modi Government distributes banned currency as compensation to victim of train accident

Just after the horrifying accident  Uttar Pradesh government led by Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday the compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the victim of the train accident and kin of those who lost their loved ones in the derailment incident. More than 100 People died and 200 were critically injured in the deadly accident that took place near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh due to the accident of Indore-Patna Express train. On the other hand, the center government had also announced to provide essential help to the survivors but  the railways’ officials disbursed banned currency to the victims.

Recently, a journalist Prashant Kumar, employed with Times Now took tweet on twitter in which he mentioned that the railway ministry officials distributed the cash compensation worth Rs 5,000 for the injured and the interesting fact was that all the notes were banned currency.

Prashant Kumar tweeted “Shocking:  Old 500 notes given to patients who survived the accident. Turning black money into white? 5000 given. 9*500 (old) notes. 5*100 rs.” (sic).

Victims of the train accident are wondering what they would do with the banned currency

If this is true, the move of Modi government is definitely disgraceful. The victims of the train accident have necessitated for wondering that what they would do with these banned notes, especially when the entire population of the nation is lining up at the banks and ATMs for exchanging and getting news currency notes.

The victims of the train accident mentioned that the people who have distributed money to them were from the railway ministry-led by Suresh Prabhu. PM Modi on November 8 had announced about the abolishment of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

Addressing the rally at Agra, he expressed the deep grief over the lost lives in the unfortunate accident and ensured victims to provide financial help. The Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had also mentioned about the exgratia to the relatives of those who have lost lives and injured in the accident.
