More than 100 People died and 200 were critically injured in the deadly accident that took place near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh due to the accident of Indore-Patna Express train. On the other hand, the center government had also announced to provide essential help to the survivors but the railways’ officials disbursed banned currency to the victims.

Recently, a journalist Prashant Kumar, employed with Times Now took tweet on twitter in which he mentioned that the railway ministry officials distributed the cash compensation worth Rs 5,000 for the injured and the interesting fact was that all the notes were banned currency.
Prashant Kumar tweeted “Shocking: Old 500 notes given to patients who survived the accident. Turning black money into white? 5000 given. 9*500 (old) notes. 5*100 rs.” (sic).
