After a major announcement made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last night, the Government of India banned the currency denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 and declared them legally invalidating.
The Government has taken this decision in order to kerb the issue of Black Money and also to give a boost to the Indian economy. However, this will cause a huge inconvenience to the common people of the country but the government is supposed to take some harder actions to check corruption in the country.
In between all the inconvenience among the common people, the common people were also facing the difficulties on the Toll booths on the national highways. The people were facing difficulties and inconvenience to pay the tolls there facing the cash issues.
So there is a good news from the government to kerb this issue also. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has relieved the inconvenience on the tolls, as the minister has announced the national highways toll-free from November 9th to November 11th.
So Now, you are not supposed to pay any tolls on the national highways during these three days and you can travel with convenience and without any further worries.
After the ban on Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes, also the RBI has also introduced the new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 Currency notes that will start rolling out by November 21st, as per Union Finance secretary. This decision by the government is taking the internet and political arena by storm. Many of the major political parties have condemned the decision citing the inconvenience to be caused by this.
On the other hand, people have also rushed down to the ATM’s, Fuel stations last night which also caused huge inconvenience. Some of the people looked unhappy with the decision and the time given by the government for the implementation, also there were many people who were in support of the decision.
