Specifications of Moto M
Along with the images; it said that Motorola is developing this 5.5-inch smartphone with a fingerprint scanner at the back. Now, there are some new reports which throw some more light on the device.
The images, leaked by TechDroider, do not show the rear side of the phone and hence, do not confirm the presence of the fingerprint scanner. However, the screen does match the description.
According to the image, the phone has 3 GB of RAM. The OS is Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The display is FHD. (1080×1920 pixels)
In its previous report, TechDroider claimed that the phone will be made by Motorola. But now, they are saying that it will be made by Lenovo instead of Motorola.
According to their source, Moto M will be launched only in Asia. It will sport a MediaTek processor. For clicking purposes, it will offer a 16 MP camera on the rear and an 8 MP camera on the front.
Some time back, a device by the name XT1663 was seen on the GFXBench – a graphics benchmarking index. It was believed that this is the Moto M. It had some pretty decent specs.
Specifications of XT1663
- 4.6-inch FHD display
- octa-core Mediatek MT6750 clocked at 1.9 GHz
- ARM Mali-T860 (GPU)
- 3 GB RAM

November 1 Update: Some reports suggest that Moto M is scheduled for launch on November 8. It will be launched along with Lenovo Vibe P2 and could be restricted to the Chinese users only.
Most probably, the phone will have multiple variants. They could be differentiated on the basis of screen sizes along with RAM size. Just like every other leak and rumour, we have to wait for the official word to clear things out.
