Motorola has launched its latest smartphone and it is called as the Moto Z Play Smartphone. It will come with a price tag of $499 i.e. approximately equal to Rs. 33,500 at IFA 2016. It is the basic variant of Moto Z smartphone that was launched by the company in June this year at a price of $624 i.e. approximately equal to Rs. 41,750. The shipping of the Moto Z Play Smartphone will begin in September.
The handset comes with Moto Mods that is a modular system and lets users extend its functionality. A new Moto Mod has also been developed by the company with Hasselblad that is called True Zoom. It extends the camera capabilities of the Moto Z smartphones. All the new products have been unveiled at the IFA 2016 in Berlin and will be on display at the exhibition at the company’s booth.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display and a screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC.

The Moto Z Play Smartphone comes with a 3GB of RAM and an internal memory of 32GB that can be expanded up to 2000GB using a micro SD card.

The handset is backed by a 3510mAh battery with Turbopower charging feature. The company claims that the smartphone can be used for 50 hours on one single charge.

On the camera front, the device has got a rear camera of 16-megapixel and a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel.

The smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The Moto Z Play Smartphone measures 156.40 x 76.40 x 6.99mm and weighs 165.00grams.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone has got to offer various connectivity features like Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). It is a dual-SIM device.
