Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna: The withdrawal limit from the Jan Dhan accounts has been recently capped at Rs 10000 per month for the KYC (Know your customer) complaints and Rs 5000 per month for the non-KYC complaints. The deposit has been fixed at Rs 50000 per month.
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan account can be opened by the citizens over the age of 10 years.

- First of all, you have to check the list of banks as given by the government in which you can open a Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan account. Some of the listed banks are State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of India, Canara Bank and IDBI Bank.
- Visit the designated bank branch and get the form for opening of the account.
- Carry an id proof along and also its photocopy.

You require the Aadhar card number while opening the account and also carry its photocopy with you. In case you do not have an Aadhar card, you can open the account with the voter id card, driving license, passport, PAN card or NREGA(Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) card.
In a recent statement, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has made it clear that even if the individuals do not have any of the valid id proofs, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan account can still be opened and an id proof is not mandatory for opening the Jan Dhan account.
