Padmavati On-Set Attack: Sanjay Leela Bhansali was shooting for his upcoming film in Jaipur’s Jaigarh Fort, when he was assaulted and slapped by Karni Sena, The Rajpoot community. According to them, “the film is presenting wrong facts about Padmavati. Our basic protest is about distortion of historic facts which will not be tolerated.”
None of the film stars, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor were present at the place of incident. A large number of protesters entered the fort and attacked Bhansali. Even as his team tried to shield him from the protesters and moved him to safety. People then turned towards the costly film equipment and started smashing cameras to the ground.

The leading actor, Ranveer Singh has reacted upon the situation and tweeted,”Sanjay Sir is one of the most accomplished & authentic filmmakers we have in India, & he wont ever do anything to hurt anyone feelings,”.
